Siskiyou County Released Inmates
A release from Siskiyou County custody means the person left one custody status. It does not always mean the person went home. The Siskiyou County Jail is the main local adult jail, and its public RIMS inmate list is built for current custody. Once a person leaves that list, the trail moves to the public booking and release record, the Siskiyou Superior Court case, VINE custody-change data, or another receiving agency. If the person was sentenced to CDCR or housed at Deadwood Conservation Camp #23, the correct release record is a state correctional record rather than a county jail row.
Release types matter. A bond release, own-recognizance order, time-served release, probation placement, transfer to CDCR, federal pickup, ICE transfer, or state parole discharge each points to a different proof source. A person can be absent from the jail roster and still be in another form of custody. That is why Siskiyou County release research should not stop at a missing RIMS entry.
Siskiyou County Release Types
The public record should be read by release type, not by name alone. California Government Code section 7923.610 makes the time and manner of release a public arrest-record item for state and local law enforcement unless an exception applies. That gives the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Records Division a practical way to confirm whether a jail booking ended by bond, court order, sentence credit, transfer, or another custody action.
| Release type | What it means | Where to verify next |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or bail | Release after bail or bond conditions were met. | Sheriff release record and court case portal. |
| Court order or own recognizance | A judge ordered release with or without conditions. | Court minute order, sheriff record, and VINE. |
| Time served | Custody credits or jail sentence satisfied the term. | Jail release entry and court disposition. |
| Probation or PRCS | Custody ended while local supervision continues. | Siskiyou Superior Court and Siskiyou County Probation. |
| Transfer to CDCR | County jail custody ended, but state custody began. | CDCR CIRIS, BPH, and DAPO records. |
| Federal or ICE transfer | Another agency took custody after the jail release. | BOP, federal court, USMS, or ICE ODLS. |
Note: A transfer is a release from the county jail, not proof of community release.
Siskiyou County Release Record Fields
A Siskiyou County release record ties back to the booking record. It should be requested with the full name, date of birth if known, approximate booking date, arresting agency, and any case or incident number. The release record is most useful when it is read with the court case because the court explains the bail order, sentence, credits, dismissal, probation term, or prison commitment that caused the release.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Full name and identifiers | The name, booking identity, court number, or CDCR number used to match records. |
| Arrest and booking times | When local custody began and when the jail booking was entered. |
| Charges and holds | Charges, warrants, probation holds, parole holds, or outside-agency holds at booking. |
| Bail or bond status | Whether a bond release or bail order explains the release. |
| Time and manner of release | The key public field showing when and how jail custody ended. |
| Release destination | Community release, probation, PRCS, CDCR transfer, other agency, ICE, federal custody, or court order. |
| Court disposition | Sentence, dismissal, credit award, or probation order that supports the release. |
The Siskiyou County Custody Division page gives the local jail context for these records. Its public custody pages should be treated as a current-status doorway, while the release record is the follow-up proof after a person leaves the live list.
The screenshot supports the local custody source, but the actual release field must still come from the sheriff record, court file, VINE, or the receiving agency.
Request Siskiyou County Release Records
The sheriff/public-records path runs through the county's GovQA portal. The Siskiyou County sheriff page says public requests are forwarded to the Records Division and reviewed within ten days. A focused request should ask for public booking and release information, including time and manner of release, charges held on, bail amount if public, and whether release was to community, probation, PRCS, CDCR, another agency, or another hold.
- Open the Siskiyou County public records request portal.
- Identify the record as a jail booking and release record or booking photograph request.
- Provide the name, date of birth if known, approximate arrest or booking date, and case or incident number.
- Ask for public release fields such as time and manner of release, release type, charges, and destination.
- Use the court portal or VINE to reconcile the response when the release involved court action or notification.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office page is the county path into records, while the GovQA portal is the request intake. California law does not make juvenile records, sealed material, medical details, victim-safety data, or investigative material open just because a person was booked.
The portal is useful because Siskiyou's RIMS public list is current-only. A written request creates a more direct record trail when the live roster no longer has the person.
Siskiyou County Release Record Law
California Government Code section 7923.610 is the most direct release-record statute in this project. It lists public arrest-record items for state and local agencies, including time and manner of release. It also covers the full name, occupation, physical description, arrest date and time, booking date and time, arrest location, factual circumstances, bail, holding location, charges, outstanding warrants, parole holds, and probation holds.
That statute has limits. It does not turn every jail document into a public file, and it does not override juvenile confidentiality, sealed cases, victim-safety limits, medical privacy, or active investigation concerns. Expungement and sealing can also change what is available or published. For a court-certified result, the Siskiyou Superior Court says official records must be requested in person or in writing, not treated as proven solely by online data.
Find Released Siskiyou County Inmates
The released-first search sequence starts with the question of custody type. If the person was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail, the RIMS current-custody list can show whether the person is still held locally. If the name is gone, that absence is only a clue. The next step is the arrest view, the court portal, VINE, and a sheriff records request. If the jail record says CDCR, federal, ICE, or another agency took custody, the search moves out of the county jail system.
A released person usually drops off the Siskiyou RIMS inmate list because the list is for people currently in custody.
- Check Siskiyou RIMS incarcerated people for current county custody only.
- If the person is absent, search Siskiyou RIMS arrests when the sheriff made the arrest.
- Search the Siskiyou Superior Court case portal for bail, dismissal, sentence, credits, probation, or transfer events.
- Use California VINE for custody status and release notifications when the person can be identified.
- Request the public sheriff release record through GovQA when online sources do not show the release.
- Search CDCR CIRIS, BPH, DAPO, BOP, or ICE ODLS if the release was actually a transfer.
For a same-day feed view, the 24-Hour Release List page explains why Siskiyou has no official recent-release list and how to use the fallback chain without mistaking current custody for release proof.
CDCR Search for Siskiyou Releases
CDCR's California Incarcerated Records and Information Search, known as CIRIS, is the state path for a Siskiyou County defendant sentenced to state prison, transferred to CDCR, housed at Deadwood Conservation Camp #23, or released to state parole. The California CIRIS service page says results for people currently in CDCR custody include name, CDCR number, age, current location, commitment counties, admission date, and BPH dates or outcomes.
| Search field | Best use |
|---|---|
| CDCR number | Best identifier when known because names can match more than one person. |
| Full name | Useful with age, date-of-birth clues, or a local court case. |
| Commitment county | Shows the county tied to the sentence, not always the physical prison site. |
| BPH dates or outcomes | Shows parole-suitability activity when applicable. |
| Current location | Helps distinguish state custody from a local jail release. |
The CIRIS search page is the lookup point for state records.
CIRIS should be paired with the local jail record when a Siskiyou booking ended in transfer to state custody instead of local community release.
Siskiyou County Recent Releases
No official Siskiyou County 24-hour or 72-hour release feed was found in the research. The county's in-custody page points to Citizen RIMS after a disclaimer, and the RIMS text says only individuals currently in custody appear. The arrest view is separate and can help find a sheriff arrest, but it is not a release list and does not include every agency's arrests in the county.
RIMS public configuration showed inmate fields such as name, date of birth, age, sex, race, height, weight, hair color, eye color, build, and complexion. Photos are not enabled. Arrest-side fields include identifiers, location, action taken, incident number, case number, and charges for sheriff arrests. None of that replaces the release record.
The Siskiyou in-custody gateway explains the current-custody doorway.
The disclaimer context is why recent-release pages should lead with records, VINE, and the court when a person has already left the roster.
Siskiyou Release Supervision
Post-release supervision splits between county and state systems. Siskiyou County Probation handles local probation and some PRCS duties. CDCR's Division of Adult Parole Operations handles state parole, with Siskiyou served through the Redding parole unit. BPH hearing schedules and results matter when a state-prison release depends on parole suitability. The Siskiyou County parole and probation page separates those supervision paths.
- Parole
- Community supervision after a CDCR prison term, handled by CDCR DAPO.
- Probation
- Court-ordered local supervision that may replace or follow jail time.
- PRCS
- Post-release community supervision for some state-prison releases handled locally.
- Discharge
- The end of a custody or supervision status, depending on the case.
Siskiyou Release Notifications
California VINE is provided locally through the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office and CDCR. The county VINE page says the service is free, confidential, available 24 hours a day, and available in English and Spanish. It can support county custody notifications and state-prison notification requests. VINE is not a court disposition database, a mugshot source, or a permanent archive.
Federal and immigration releases use different systems. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal inmates incarcerated from 1982 to the present and includes records for people released after 1982. ICE ODLS is narrower and may show people currently in ICE custody or recently released within the time window described by ICE. A Siskiyou jail release to USMS, BOP, or ICE should be read as a transfer unless a source confirms community release.
Siskiyou Court Release Proof
The Siskiyou Superior Court case portal can explain why a jail release occurred. It may show bail, dismissal, sentencing, custody credits, probation, warrants recalled, or a prison commitment. The court's online-services disclaimer says online case data is not the official certified court record and may contain errors or omissions. Certified records must be requested in person or in writing.
That distinction matters when a portal entry appears to conflict with RIMS, VINE, or a jail record. The portal may show the legal reason for release, while the sheriff record shows the local custody exit, and CDCR shows a later state custody result. A complete Siskiyou release check reconciles all three when the case moved between systems.
Siskiyou Alternative Sentencing
Siskiyou's Day Reporting Center is part of the local release and supervision landscape. The county says AB 109 realignment changed the local jail and justice system, and that the Community Corrections Partnership turned to alternatives such as Work Program, Electronic Monitoring, and the DRC because jail capacity was tight. The county also reports an average of 50 offenders assigned to alternative sentencing.
This is not the same as a release list. It helps explain why a person may leave a jail bed while still having court, probation, or program obligations. The Siskiyou DRC and alternative sentencing page is the local source for that context.
Siskiyou Facility Release Paths
Siskiyou release research is not limited to the county jail. Deadwood Conservation Camp #23 is a CDCR and CAL FIRE conservation camp in Fort Jones. Release from Deadwood is a state correctional release, so the path runs through CIRIS, BPH, DAPO, and CDCR victim services. Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility serves Siskiyou youth by contract, but juvenile custody information is not handled like an adult public roster.
| Facility | Custody type | Release path |
|---|---|---|
| Siskiyou County Jail | County adult jail | Sheriff release record, court, VINE, or transfer record. |
| Deadwood Conservation Camp #23 | CDCR conservation camp | CDCR CIRIS, BPH, DAPO, and CDCR notification channels. |
| Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility | Juvenile detention serving Siskiyou | Guardian, attorney, juvenile court, and probation channels. |
Siskiyou Released vs Custody Lookup
Each lookup system answers a different question. The fastest mistake is to treat a current roster as a historical release database. In Siskiyou County, the current RIMS list can show someone still held at the county jail. A release record, court disposition, VINE alert, CDCR result, BOP record, or ICE lookup must be used when the person has left that custody status.
| System | Best question | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| RIMS current custody | Is the person now in Siskiyou County Jail? | Not a released-inmate archive. |
| Sheriff release record | When and how did local custody end? | May require a records request. |
| Siskiyou court portal | What court action explains release? | Online data is not the certified record. |
| CDCR CIRIS | Is this a state custody or parole matter? | Not a county jail release list. |
| BOP or ICE | Was there federal or immigration custody? | Separate systems with their own limits. |
Search Siskiyou Release Records
Use the public search box as a starting point, then verify any Siskiyou County release fact with the originating sheriff, court, CDCR, VINE, BOP, ICE, probation, or parole source. Names can match, custody systems can overlap, and release status can change after a court order, hold, detainer, or transfer.
